Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 quarts filtered water
- 6 tea bags (Luzianne preferred)
- 12 cups seeded watermelon chunks
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- Fresh mint leaves (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat, add tea bags, cover, and steep for 15 minutes.
- Puree watermelon chunks with lime juice in a blender until smooth. Strain into a pitcher to remove pulp.
- Remove tea bags from the saucepan and pour brewed tea into the pitcher with watermelon juice. Stir well.
- Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
