Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Stir in the strawberry gelatin powder until combined. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt; gradually add to wet ingredients until a soft dough forms. Chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll chilled dough into balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes until edges are firm but centers are soft. Remove from oven and gently press a chocolate kiss into each cookie while warm.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before dusting with powdered sugar.
