- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2–4 tbsp milk
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla; combine with dry ingredients to form dough.
- Knead on a floured surface until smooth (5–7 minutes). Let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread filling and roll tightly into a log.
- Slice into rolls and let rise again for 30 minutes in a greased dish.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- For frosting: Beat cream cheese with softened butter; add powdered sugar gradually along with vanilla and milk until smooth.
