- 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into chunks

- 2 Tbsp light corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp fine salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, chopped
- 1/2 tsp fine salt
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, room temperature
- 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips (60-65% cocoa)
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 Tbsp light corn syrup (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Make the shortbread crust by mixing room temperature butter, flour, powdered sugar, and salt until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- Prepare the caramel layer by combining sweetened condensed milk, butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth and thickened. Pour over baked crust.
- For the brownie layer, mix granulated sugar, cocoa powder, flour, powdered sugar, and salt in one bowl; add eggs, oil, melted butter, water, and vanilla in another bowl. Combine both mixtures and fold in chocolate chips. Pour over caramel layer.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean but moist. Let cool.
- For ganache topping, warm heavy cream until simmering; stir in dark chocolate chips and butter until melted and smooth. Pour over cooled brownies.
- Let set before cutting into squares.
