  • 2 cups white granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ TBSP cornstarch
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup marshmallow crème

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan by spraying it with nonstick spray and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and cornstarch; set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together sugar, eggs, and egg yolk on high speed until pale (about 5 minutes). Add melted butter, oil, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients while mixing on low speed. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Dollop melted marshmallow fluff over the top and lightly swirl it in using a butter knife.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out slightly wet but not covered in batter.
  7. Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares.
