- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 large Onion (diced)
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 (15-ounce can) Diced Tomatoes (don't drain)
- 1 (15-ounce can) Tomato Sauce (or tomato puree)
- 1/3 cup Tomato Paste
- 4 cups Chicken Broth
- 1–2 cups Water
- 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- Black Pepper (to taste)
- 8 ounces Bowtie Pasta (uncooked)
- 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
- 2 ounces Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese (shaved, shredded, or fresh grated)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté diced onions until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato sauce, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Add bowtie pasta to the pot and reduce heat to simmer. Cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in ricotta cheese. Serve hot, garnished with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley.
