  • 1 1/2 lb chuck roast or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
  • 1 pound broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp canola oil

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to 'Saute' and heat canola oil. Brown the sliced beef in batches.
  2. Stir in beef broth, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil until combined.
  3. Lock the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  4. Perform a quick release once cooking is done.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water; add to the pot to thicken the sauce.
  6. Select 'Saute' again, add broccoli florets, and cook covered for 3 minutes (fresh) or 5 minutes (frozen).
  7. Serve warm over rice or noodles.
