  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup honey
  • 23 tablespoons hot sauce
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Rinse shrimp and pat dry. In a large bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss shrimp in the spice mixture.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour in one dish, buttermilk in another, and panko breadcrumbs in a third.
  3. Dip each shrimp in flour, then buttermilk, followed by panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry shrimp in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. For the glaze: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; stir in honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes (if using), and apple cider vinegar until combined.
