Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup honey
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken pieces with this mixture.
  2. Heat canola oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6–8 minutes until golden brown; then remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter on medium-low heat. Stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until combined.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss in the honey butter sauce for an additional 2–3 minutes until well coated.
  5. Serve garnished with sliced green onions.
