Description

Ground Beef Mongolian Noodles is a delightful fusion dish that combines tender noodles with savory ground beef, enveloped in a luscious sweet and tangy hoisin sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz linguine or fettuccine noodles
  • 4 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 4 green onions (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned (about 5 minutes). Add grated ginger and minced garlic during the last two minutes of cooking.
  2. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet and add brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this slurry to the skillet and simmer until thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet with the sauce for even coating. Let sit for an additional 2-3 minutes before serving.
