- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup warm water
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water and instant yeast; let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center.
- Mix warm milk, sweetened condensed milk, softened butter, and egg in another bowl; pour into the well.
- Add the frothy yeast mixture and stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
- Let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down dough gently; shape as desired and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix beaten egg with water; brush over dough before baking.
