  • 1 (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 (25 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mini pepperoni or chopped pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the Italian sausage. Add the diced onion and sliced mushrooms; cook until onions are translucent. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella until well blended.
  4. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture in the bottom of the prepared dish. Layer with half of the marinara sauce, half of the sausage mixture, and half of the pepperoni.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with an additional cup of mozzarella on top.
  6. Bake for 20-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
