Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ pound sweet Italian sausage
- 48 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 12 lasagna noodles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF and spray a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat and stir in minced garlic and spaghetti sauce; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 2 cups mozzarella, eggs, half of the Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Spread some meat sauce on the bottom of the dish. Layer with uncooked noodles, cheese mixture, and remaining sauce. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Top with remaining noodles, sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan; add water around edges if needed.
- Cover with foil (sprayed side down) and bake for 50 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
