  • 2 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 24 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • sprinkle of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter and press into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Blend cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add flour, sour cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and eggs one at a time; mix well. Pour over the crust.
  3. Toss chopped apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice; spread over the filling. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  4. Bake for about 50 minutes or until slightly jiggly in the center. Cool at room temperature before chilling for at least four hours. Cut into bars.
