  • 2 cups cabbage (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup celery (sliced)
  • 1 small onion (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp regular soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock (low-sodium)
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients and set aside.
  2. Bring water to boil in a large pan; blanch chow mein noodles for 20-30 seconds until loosened.
  3. Drain the noodles in a colander—do not rinse.
  4. Heat oil in a large pan; sauté onions, cabbage, and celery for about 1 minute until softened.
  5. Push veggies aside, add remaining oil, then add noodles and sauce.
  6. Toss everything until noodles are well coated; serve immediately.
