  • 2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
  • 15.5 ounces kidney beans
  • 15.5 ounces chili hot beans
  • 29 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion, green bell pepper, and garlic; set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the vegetables for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until nearly browned; drain excess fat. Stir in chili powder.
  4. Transfer meat mixture to a slow cooker and add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
  5. Set slow cooker on low heat and cook for approximately 4 hours.
