  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 24 oz cream cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (for cheesecake and decoration)
  • Unsalted butter, sour cream, heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round baking pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, milk, oil, vanilla extract, egg, and hot water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy; add sugar, cocoa powder, sour cream, vanilla extract, melted chocolate, and eggs one at a time.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture into a springform pan and bake at 325°F (162°C) for 60-70 minutes.
  6. Once cooled, layer the cakes with cheesecake filling and frost with chocolate buttercream.
