  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream (divided)
  • 12 oz semisweet chocolate (divided)
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter with sugar. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, combine cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until combined.
  4. Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely.
  5. For the mousse, melt 8 oz of chocolate with milk over low heat; allow to cool slightly.
  6. Whip chilled heavy cream until soft peaks form; fold melted chocolate gently into whipped cream.
