- 3/4 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil

- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup dulce de leche

- Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

- Once cakes are completely cool, frost the top of one layer and stack the second layer on top; frost the entire cake as desired.
