  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then whisk in flour. Gradually add milk while stirring to avoid lumps; simmer until thickened.
  5. Stir in cheeses until melted. Add cooked pasta and beef mixture; combine well. If necessary, loosen with reserved pasta water.
