Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs steak (strip, sirloin, or ribeye)
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or less, to taste)
- 1/2 tsp packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes and coat with the spice mix.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat with 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil.
- Sear half of the seasoned steak cubes for 3-4 minutes; turn and cook for another 2-3 minutes until done. Remove and repeat with the remaining cubes.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- Return all steak bites to the skillet, toss in the garlic butter sauce for one more minute.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
