Ingredients

  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, for ganache
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased or lined 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the semisweet chocolate and butter in a double boiler or microwave until smooth; let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the melted mixture with sugars until combined, then add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gently fold into the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into the pan and bake for about 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean; allow to cool before cutting into squares.
  6. For the ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering, pour over chopped chocolate, let sit, then stir until smooth.
  7. Dip brownie squares in ganache or drizzle on top and sprinkle with Fleur de sel.
