- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- Cream cheese frosting (for topping)
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with one teaspoon of sugar; let sit until frothy (about 10 minutes).
- Combine yeast mixture with remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough until smooth; let rise in a greased bowl covered until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Roll out the dough, brush with melted butter, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, then scatter blueberries.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces; place in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
