  • 14 ounces caramels, unwrapped
  • 5 ounces canned evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter with brown and white sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  5. Spread half the cookie dough mixture into the prepared pan and bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. In a saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with evaporated milk until smooth.
  7. Pour melted caramel over the baked layer and drop spoonfuls of remaining cookie dough on top.
  8. Bake again for another 10–15 minutes until top is set but still soft; allow cooling before slicing.
