- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon maple extract
- 1½ teaspoons cinnamon (divided)
- Optional: Powdered sugar and maple syrup for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a muffin tin with non-stick spray.
- Cut bread into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla extract, maple extract, half the cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Add bread cubes to the egg mixture and stir gently until well coated.
- Spoon the mixture into each muffin cup evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and remaining cinnamon; sprinkle over muffins.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool briefly before serving with powdered sugar and maple syrup if desired.
